Dolphins Re-sign Kicker Zane Gonzalez, Release Riley Patterson

The Miami Dolphins have made a change at kicker, re-signing Zane Gonzalez and releasing Riley Patterson after their Week 6 bye.

Zane Gonzalez, who is 31 years old, had previously been with the Dolphins during the offseason and training camp. He was placed on injured reserve in August and later released with an injury settlement on August 19. Last season, while playing for Atlanta, Gonzalez successfully converted 19 of 22 field goal attempts and 17 of 18 extra points.

Riley Patterson's performance included a missed extra point in the Week 5 loss to the Bengals, along with two missed field goals earlier in the season. The Dolphins are set to play against the Jets in Week 7.
