Dolphins Rookie Linebacker Trey Moore to Miss Time Due to Ankle Injury
Trey Moore, a rookie linebacker for the Miami Dolphins, is anticipated to be sidelined due to an ankle injury incurred during Saturday's preseason match against the New York Giants.
Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley indicated that Moore's return is uncertain, pending further medical evaluations. The 23-year-old had been viewed as a potential starter in the team's revamped defense after being drafted in the fourth round.
In light of Moore's injury, the Dolphins have signed linebacker Jaheim Thomas to bolster their roster. Thomas secured his position over former first-round pick Kenneth Murray. Additionally, Miami added undrafted rookie tight end Ethan Conner, leading to the release of center Jim Bonifas and cornerback Ahmari Harvey.
