AAA has confirmed the date for the championship match between Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano at Triplemania 34.

Previously, El Grande Americano played a significant role in Mysterio's victory for the AAA Mega Championship. However, following a betrayal where Mysterio allowed Americano to lose against Perros del Mal, a title match was announced for the event.

During the August 15, 2026 episode of AAA on Fox, it was revealed that Mysterio would defend his title against Americano on Night 2 of Triplemania 34, scheduled for September 13 at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. This announcement followed a brawl between the two wrestlers that required intervention from AAA GM Rey Mysterio.
