Dorance Armstrong of the Commanders Receives One-Game Suspension
The NFL has announced a one-game suspension for Dorance Armstrong, a defensive end for the Washington Commanders, due to a breach of its personal conduct policy.
Armstrong's suspension will commence on August 30, although he is permitted to participate in practice and preseason games until then. He will be eligible to return to the team on September 14.
Public records indicate that Armstrong was arrested on May 10, 2025, in Frisco, Texas, facing misdemeanor charges related to assault and resisting arrest, for which he received deferred adjudication. He is also in recovery from an ACL injury sustained during Week 7 of the previous season, having recorded 10.5 sacks over the last two seasons with the team.
