Dragon Lee Reflects on Learning English After Joining WWE

Dragon Lee, a WWE star, joined the organization in late 2022 after years with CMLL, AAA, NJPW, and a match in AEW. Upon his arrival, he had limited English skills, prompting him to quickly adapt at the WWE Performance Center.

Lee initially marked on his hiring paperwork that he spoke English, fearing it would affect his chances of being hired. He began with online classes but found them ineffective, leading him to in-person classes at Full Sail University. However, he credits his daily training at the Performance Center and interactions with peers as the most significant factors in improving his language skills.

Despite the language barrier, Lee achieved success in WWE, including a feud with Dominik Mysterio and winning the NXT North American Championship. He has also made regular appearances on the main roster and was called up full-time the following year, continuing to thrive as a singles competitor and as part of the LWO.
