Drake Maye Shines in Week 5, Leading Patriots to Victory

In Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season, quarterback Drake Maye led the New England Patriots to a commanding 45-17 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, showcasing a remarkable turnaround in his performance.

Maye recorded a career-high 93.5 passing grade, completing 26 of 34 passes for 374 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. His performance included five big-time throws, the third-most by any quarterback this season, and he did not commit any turnover-worthy plays.

Facing a Raiders defense ranked fourth in defensive EPA per play, Maye excelled under pressure, achieving a passer rating of 150.9. His ability to connect on deep passes was particularly notable, as he completed four of six attempts for 149 yards and two touchdowns. This game marks a significant improvement for Maye, who had struggled earlier in the season, and suggests a promising shift in the Patriots' offensive dynamics.
