Dre Greenlaw Receives One-Game Suspension
Dre Greenlaw, a linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers, has been suspended for one game due to an incident that occurred during the first half of a game against the Seattle Seahawks. The NFL announced the suspension on Monday.
The suspension stems from Greenlaw headbutting linebacker Ernest Jones, who was not wearing a helmet, while on the Seahawks' sideline. This action was deemed a violation of NFL rules regarding sportsmanship.
Greenlaw has the option to appeal the suspension, and if he does, the case will be reviewed by jointly appointed hearing officers from the NFL and NFLPA. He is eligible to return to the 49ers' roster on October 20, ahead of their Week 6 game against the Washington Commanders.
