Drew Allar Impresses in Preseason Debut with Three Touchdowns
In his preseason debut on Thursday night, Steelers rookie quarterback Drew Allar demonstrated his potential against the Packers by leading the offense to three touchdowns in three drives.
Allar's performance included an 80-yard drive that concluded with a three-yard touchdown run, followed by an 89-yard drive capped by a five-yard touchdown pass, and a final 60-yard drive that ended with a four-yard touchdown pass. He completed 10 of 13 passes for 153 yards, achieving a passer rating of 154.8.
Another rookie, Will Howard, also made his NFL preseason debut, completing 10 of 11 passes for 93 yards without any touchdowns or interceptions. The Steelers face a decision regarding their quarterback roster, as they may need to cut one player unless they opt to keep four quarterbacks.
