Drew McIntyre Returns to the U.S. Amid Uncertainty Over WWE Comeback
Drew McIntyre has returned to the United States following a four-month absence from WWE, during which he focused on various film projects.
His break was pre-planned, allowing him to work on the Highlander reboot alongside actors Henry Cavill and Russell Crowe, as well as filming The Last Druid in Spain. Despite being back, there are no confirmed plans for his return to WWE programming, as major creative discussions have yet to take place.
McIntyre was last seen in the ring at WrestleMania 42, where he faced Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned Match, which he lost. WWE had scripted his absence as an indefinite suspension following a storyline confrontation with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. While he has been away from television, McIntyre has continued to train and appears to be in good shape.
