Drew Waters Designated for Assignment by Kansas City Royals

Drew Waters, once a highly regarded prospect for the Atlanta Braves, was designated for assignment by the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday, following a brief stint as a September call-up.

This decision was made to make room for second baseman Michael Massey, who returned from the injured list. Waters did not participate in any games during his short time with the Royals.

Waters, who was drafted by the Braves in 2017, had a promising start to his career but struggled in the upper minors and faced challenges in the major leagues. Over four seasons with Kansas City, he recorded a batting average of .234 with 14 home runs in 208 games.
