Ducati's Gigi Dall’Igna Discusses 2026 MotoGP Title Race
Gigi Dall’Igna, the general manager of Ducati, has shared insights on the ongoing 2026 MotoGP championship, highlighting the competition between Ducati and Aprilia.
During the recent race in Aragon, Ducati's Marc Marquez secured his fourth victory of the season, moving up to second place in the standings, trailing Jorge Martín by 19 points. Despite Marquez's shoulder condition, he has shown strong performance, while Martín leads the championship despite some point losses.
With nine races remaining, the title race is tightening among the top contenders: Martín, Marquez, and Marco Bezzecchi, who are separated by just 24 points. Dall’Igna believes that mental fortitude and consistency will be crucial in determining the champion, noting that a rider can win the title with fewer victories if they maintain steady performance and avoid mistakes.
