Duke Football Player Apologizes After Incident with Female Staffer
Kimari Robinson, a cornerback for Duke football, has issued a public apology following an incident where he swatted the arm of a female training staff member on the field. The incident occurred while the staff member was attempting to check on injured teammate DaShawn Stone.
The staff member approached Robinson to move him aside so she could assist Stone, who was on the ground. In response, Robinson swiped at her arm. He later expressed regret, stating that his actions were unjustified and that he should have managed his emotions better during a stressful moment.
Robinson personally apologized to the staff member after the team's recent loss to North Carolina. Although Stone was able to walk off the field, there has been no update regarding the severity of his injury. Duke football has not commented on the incident, and no disciplinary action has been announced.
