Duncan Ferguson Aims to Revive Glentoran's Glory as New Manager
Duncan Ferguson has been appointed as the new manager of Glentoran, with the goal of reviving the club's past successes at the Oval. The former Everton star, 54, signed a multi-year contract on Monday.
Glentoran has not secured a league title since 2009 and currently trails leaders Coleraine by 11 points in the Irish Premiership. Ferguson expressed his commitment to the club, stating that he expects both himself and the players to give their all in pursuit of competing with the league's top teams.
Ferguson, who has previous managerial experience with Forest Green Rovers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, emphasized the need for a more attacking style of play to improve the team's performance. He is optimistic about receiving financial support from the club's owner, Ali Pour, as they work together to restore Glentoran's ambitions.
