Duncan Ferguson's First Match as Glentoran Manager Against Coleraine

Duncan Ferguson is set to make his debut as Glentoran's manager in a challenging match against Coleraine, the league leaders, at the Showgrounds on Friday night. This match comes six days later than initially planned and will be broadcast live on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website.

Coleraine, who recently suffered their only defeat of the season, has bounced back with four consecutive wins, creating a two-point lead over their nearest rivals. Glentoran, currently 14 points behind Coleraine, has shown improvement with an unbeaten streak of five games, including four wins and a draw under interim management.

Ferguson, who has had a week and a half to prepare since his appointment, aims to instill an attacking style in his team, which has struggled to create chances despite having a strong defense. The return of striker Pat Hoban could bolster their offense as they seek to make a statement against the top team in the league.
