Dustin Johnson Optimistic About LIV Golf's Future After Investor Agreement
Dustin Johnson has shared his optimism regarding the future of LIV Golf after the league announced a lead investor agreement. This development was revealed by LIV CEO Scott O’Neil, who indicated that the agreement could help secure the league's longevity.
Despite the positive news, O’Neil did not provide specific details, including the status of the upcoming Team Championship. However, it appears that LIV Golf will continue beyond the current season, raising questions about player participation in the upcoming events.
Johnson, who was a prominent player in LIV's inaugural event, indicated his willingness to support the league's growth. He noted that while he missed recent meetings, he believes in LIV's potential. With plans for 10 events in 2027, including five in the U.S. and five internationally, Johnson acknowledged the need to adjust his schedule accordingly, as he aims to play between 18 and 20 events annually.
