Dwight Howard, a Basketball Hall of Fame center, is making a comeback to professional basketball by joining Black Fortress Tbilisi in the Georgian Super League, just six months after he announced his retirement.

At nearly 41 years old, Howard's return marks another chapter in his post-NBA career, which has included stints in various international leagues. He previously played for the Taoyuan Leopards in Taiwan and the Strong Group Athletics in the Philippines, among others.

Howard expressed excitement about his new journey in Tbilisi, acknowledging the connection to Georgia and emphasizing his desire to promote basketball. His retirement announcement in March was motivated by a wish to spend more time with family, but he has since continued to pursue his passion for the sport.
