Dylan Raiola to Start for Oregon Ducks Against UCLA
Dylan Raiola is set to make his first start for the No. 13 Oregon Ducks as they prepare to host No. 21 UCLA. This decision comes as quarterback Dante Moore, who returned to practice, is still in the concussion protocol and will not participate in the game.
Moore sustained a concussion during a game against Southern California on September 26, which led to Raiola stepping in and throwing for 289 yards and two touchdowns. Raiola, who transferred from Nebraska, has accumulated 413 passing yards and five touchdowns without any interceptions in two appearances this season.
Oregon coach Dan Lanning expressed confidence in Raiola's abilities, noting his high performance level in practice. Meanwhile, UCLA coach Bob Chesney acknowledged the similarities between Moore and Raiola, emphasizing the need to prepare for both quarterbacks. Although Moore has resumed limited practice, he remains unavailable for Saturday's matchup.
