EA Sports Integrates Tush Push into Madden NFL 27
The tush push, a play popularized by the Philadelphia Eagles, has been incorporated into the latest edition of Madden NFL 27, set to release soon. This addition comes after the Eagles successfully utilized the play during their championship season in 2024.
To accurately replicate the play, EA Sports conducted extensive motion-capture sessions at their Los Angeles facilities, aiming to capture the intensity and nuances of the real-life action. The tush push, which involves teammates pushing the quarterback forward, has been a subject of debate in the NFL, with some teams attempting to ban it due to safety concerns.
Despite the controversy, EA Sports decided to include the play after determining it would remain in the NFL for the upcoming season. Currently, the tush push is available in the playbooks of seven teams, with ongoing feedback from players indicating a balanced and realistic gameplay experience.
