Eagles Adjust Roster by Signing Elijah Mitchell and Waiving Two Players
The Philadelphia Eagles made adjustments to their running back lineup on Tuesday by signing Elijah Mitchell from their practice squad and waiving Jaydon Blue and Carson Steele.
Mitchell, who initially joined the Eagles this offseason, had been on the practice squad after being released in August. He previously played for the Chiefs and had notable statistics with the 49ers, including 1,523 rushing yards and nine touchdowns over three seasons. Blue was added to the active roster prior to the recent game against the Panthers but did not participate, while Steele, who had one reception for four yards in two games, was waived due to a shoulder injury sustained in Week 6.
Currently, the Eagles' running back roster also includes Saquon Barkley and Dameon Pierce, with Barkley sidelined for the last two games due to a hamstring injury.
