Eagles Not Disciplined for Handling of Jalen Hurts' Health Issue
The Philadelphia Eagles will not be penalized for their handling of quarterback Jalen Hurts' blood clots, according to a source familiar with the matter.
This information was shared anonymously due to the private nature of discussions between the NFL and the team. The NFL stated that its Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Allen Sills, coordinated with Eagles medical staff and the Cleveland Clinic in London during Hurts' treatment.
Hurts is currently on injured reserve and is anticipated to miss the remainder of the season due to complications from a blood clot in his left calf that has affected his lungs. He has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli, requiring treatment with blood thinners, which will prevent him from participating in football activities until he is cleared.
