Eagles Place RB Elijah Mitchell on Injured Reserve and Sign Three Players
The Philadelphia Eagles have placed running back Elijah Mitchell on injured reserve as of Monday, indicating he will not be part of the team's roster by the end of the month.
Mitchell, who joined the Eagles in early June, previously played one game for the Chiefs last season and spent time on the Patriots' practice squad before being released in April. He had a notable career with the 49ers, recording 1,523 rushing yards and nine touchdowns over 27 games.
In addition to Mitchell's placement, the Eagles have signed defensive tackle David Blay, running back Ja’Quinden Jackson, and linebacker Tarron Jackson. As part of these roster changes, guard Jaeden Roberts and tight end Dae’Quan Wright have been waived.
