Eagles Promote Dameon Pierce to 53-Man Roster
The Philadelphia Eagles have announced the elevation of running back Dameon Pierce to their 53-man roster, as reported by ESPN on Wednesday.
This move follows injuries to running backs Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby during the Eagles' recent 24-20 defeat against the Los Angeles Rams. Barkley is dealing with a hamstring injury and is expected to be out for at least a week, while Bigsby has been placed on injured reserve due to a core injury that requires surgery.
In the upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, Will Shipley is anticipated to take on the primary running back role for Philadelphia, which currently holds a 2-2 record. Pierce, who is 26 years old, has not yet participated in a regular-season game this year, having played five games in 2025 with the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs. Over his career, he has accumulated 1,684 rushing yards and eight touchdowns from 419 carries in 43 games.
