Eagles Release Running Back Carson Steele
The Philadelphia Eagles are parting ways with running back Carson Steele as they finalize their roster ahead of the upcoming deadline, according to Jordan Schultz.
Steele, who is 23 years old, was a standout player at Ball State from 2021 to 2022 before transferring to UCLA in 2023. He received First-Team All-MAC honors in 2022, leading the conference in rushing.
After going undrafted in 2024, Steele signed with the Kansas City Chiefs and made the team as a rookie. However, he was waived after the preseason in his second year but later re-signed to the practice squad. Steele joined the Eagles on a futures deal in January and participated in all 17 games for the Chiefs in 2024, accumulating 183 rushing yards on 56 carries.
