Eagles Sign Dameon Pierce to Active Roster
The Philadelphia Eagles are enhancing their running back lineup by signing Dameon Pierce from the practice squad to the active roster.
Pierce initially joined the Eagles in March but was released before returning to the practice squad. He has previous NFL experience with the Texans, where he accumulated 415 carries for 1,674 yards and eight touchdowns over three seasons. Last year, he played for both the Chiefs and Texans, totaling 14 carries for 36 yards across five games.
This move comes after injuries to Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby during a recent game against the Rams. Barkley is dealing with a hamstring injury and is uncertain for upcoming games, while Bigsby requires surgery for a core muscle injury.
