Eagles Sign Jaydon Blue to Practice Squad After Cowboys Release
The Philadelphia Eagles have added running back Jaydon Blue to their practice squad, providing the former Dallas Cowboys draft pick with a new opportunity after he was waived by Dallas.
Blue, who was selected in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, was cut from the Cowboys' 53-man roster as the team finalized its lineup for the regular season. He had a challenging rookie year, appearing in only five games and finishing with 129 rushing yards, one touchdown, and a single reception.
Despite his speed, demonstrated by a 4.38-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, Blue struggled to make an impact in Dallas, leading to questions about his maturity and reliability. The Eagles now hope to develop his potential as he competes for a promotion within the NFC East.
