Eagles Trade Cam Jurgens to Ravens Amid Offensive Line Changes
The Philadelphia Eagles traded Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday, following the retirement of right tackle Lane Johnson the previous day.
General Manager Howie Roseman clarified that the trade was not indicative of the Eagles giving up on the current season. He emphasized that acquiring draft picks and freeing up salary cap space were strategic moves for the team's future.
In the trade, the Eagles received a fifth-round pick in 2027 and a second-round pick in 2028, while sending a seventh-round pick in 2027 to Baltimore along with Jurgens. Jurgens, who had signed a four-year contract extension with the Eagles, was initially the starting center before transitioning to left guard.
