Edmund Lalrindika was the standout player, scoring three goals, while Bipin Singh also contributed to the scoreline. Manvir Singh scored the only goal for Bagan. East Bengal's strategy focused on quick forward passes, which effectively disrupted Bagan's defense.
Lalrindika opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a low strike from outside the box and quickly added another goal shortly after. He completed his hat-trick just before halftime, ensuring East Bengal's dominance in the match.
