East Zone Dominates North East Zone in Duleep Trophy Quarterfinal

In the Duleep Trophy quarterfinal held at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 2, East Zone secured a commanding victory over North East Zone by an innings and 210 runs. Shahbaz Ahmed played a pivotal role, scoring 167 runs, while Anukul Roy took five wickets to help East Zone advance to the semifinals.

East Zone set a formidable first-innings total of 467 runs, with Sudip Kumar Gharami contributing significantly with 146 runs. After being bowled out for just 111 runs in their first innings, North East Zone was forced to follow on and managed only 146 runs in their second innings.

Abhijit Sarkar was instrumental in dismantling North East Zone's batting lineup, taking five wickets for 20 runs in the first innings. Anukul Roy's five-wicket haul in the second innings further solidified East Zone's dominance, ensuring a comprehensive win.
