Ebbsfleet United's Suspension Lifted by National League

Ebbsfleet United is set to begin their season on Saturday following the National League's decision to lift the club's suspension. This development comes after the Kent club faced a suspension due to financial difficulties that resulted in the postponement of their first six National League South games.

The club's financial issues were addressed after a takeover by John O'Leary last month, which enabled Ebbsfleet to settle debts with His Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and pay their players. The National League's compliance and licensing committee met on Tuesday to review the club's situation and subsequently lifted the suspension, allowing them to compete against Walton & Hersham.

Despite the lifting of the suspension, Ebbsfleet United will still be under a transfer embargo. The league's committee noted that while the club has made progress, they must continue to meet certain compliance requirements moving forward.
