Eddie Kingston Withdraws from Indie Event in Canada

Eddie Kingston will miss his scheduled appearance at the Fighting Back 2026 charity event in Ottawa, Canada, on August 14. The AEW star was set to participate in a six-man tag match but will no longer be attending due to circumstances beyond the control of the event organizers.

C4 Wrestling announced the change earlier today, expressing regret over Kingston's absence and assuring attendees that the event will still be remarkable. The charity event aims to benefit the Canadian Cancer Society and will be streamed live on IndependentWrestling.TV and YouTube starting at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time.

This marks the 15th annual edition of Fighting Back. Kingston recently returned to AEW programming after a brief hiatus, where he had been competing in ROH and on the indie circuit. AEW has no events scheduled for this weekend, with their next show set for Dynamite in Baltimore, Maryland, next Wednesday.
