Elham Amar emerged victorious in the A Open at the Dortmund Chess Festival, finishing the tournament with a draw against Surya Ganguly in the final round. Amar entered the last round with a half-point lead and successfully maintained his position despite pressure from Ganguly.

In the final standings, Amar claimed first place, while Sumiya Chinguun of Mongolia, who lost to Amilal Munkhdalai, finished second. Munkhdalai's win allowed him to secure the second position based on tiebreak scores.
