Elijah Hollands to Play Local Football After Delisting
Elijah Hollands, a former player for Carlton, is preparing to participate in local football next year following a challenging season. His AFL agent, Dave Trotter from Hemisphere Sports, shared that Hollands is currently in a good mental state after being delisted at the end of 2026.
Despite the difficulties he faced, including a mental health episode earlier in the year, Hollands has received continued support from Carlton. Trotter indicated that while Hollands is still determining his plans for 2027, he will remain involved in football, likely at the local level, possibly in Melbourne or with his home club in Wodonga.
Hollands expressed his deep connection to football in a recent statement, acknowledging the importance of prioritizing his health and well-being. He reflected on his journey and the significance of playing alongside his brother in front of large crowds, while also accepting that his career path may differ from what he once envisioned.
