Elliot Lee Leaves Wrexham by Mutual Consent
Elliot Lee has left Wrexham after the club terminated his contract by mutual consent. The 31-year-old midfielder joined Wrexham from Luton Town in the summer of 2022 and was instrumental in the team's ascent through the football leagues.
During his tenure, Lee made 152 appearances and scored 41 goals for Wrexham, contributing significantly to their three consecutive promotions from the National League to the Championship. He was recognized in the National League team of the year for the 2022-23 season and also featured in the League Two team of the season.
Despite his contributions, Lee's playing time diminished following Wrexham's promotion to the Championship last year, with his appearances limited to the EFL Cup. He spent part of the last season on loan at Doncaster Rovers and has not been included in any matchday squads this season. Lee is now a free agent and has reportedly drawn interest from Sheffield Wednesday.
