Emeka Egbuka Injured During Buccaneers Training Camp
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Emeka Egbuka left the field with a lower-body injury during training camp on Wednesday in Florham Park, New Jersey.
Following the incident, Egbuka received attention from trainers on the sidelines and was unable to continue with the practice. Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles did not provide any updates on Egbuka's condition after the session.
Egbuka, selected as the 19th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, had a productive rookie season with 63 receptions for 938 yards and six touchdowns. With veteran receiver Mike Evans now with the San Francisco 49ers, Egbuka is expected to take on a larger role in the upcoming season. The Buccaneers are scheduled to play their preseason opener against the New York Jets on Friday evening.
