Emeka Egbuka's Injury Update Brings Relief to Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Emeka Egbuka has been reported to have a minor toe injury following his exit from practice during a joint session with the New York Jets.
Head coach Todd Bowles did not provide an immediate update after Egbuka limped off the field, but NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo confirmed that the injury is not serious. Running back Bucky Irving also indicated that Egbuka is doing well, stating he was simply rolled over during practice.
This update comes as a relief for the Buccaneers, who are dealing with other team issues, including defensive tackle Vita Vea's trade request and quarterback Baker Mayfield's contract situation. Egbuka, who was selected 19th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, had a strong rookie season with 63 receptions for 938 yards and six touchdowns, and his performance will be crucial for the team's playoff aspirations in the upcoming season.
