NFL Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith is being sued for $2.5 million by a Native American investing company, accused of misusing funds intended for a solar farm project.

Emmitt Smith, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, is facing a $2.5 million lawsuit filed by Kituwah, LLC, a Native American investing company, in a Delaware court. The lawsuit alleges that Smith and his business partner misappropriated funds intended for a solar farm project in Texas.

According to the lawsuit, Smith, who is the chairman of 4 13 Solutions, secured a loan from Kituwah under the pretense of investing in Project Exodus. However, the funds were allegedly redirected to pay off Wilson Holdings, a company associated with Darrel Wilson, instead of being used for the intended solar project.

Kituwah claims that despite assurances from Smith and his partner, David Mosley, regarding the project's financing and profitability, none of the promised outcomes materialized. The company is seeking the return of the full loan amount, plus interest and court costs, stating that they have not received any repayment.
