Enes Kanter Freedom Denied Entry to WNBA Finals Game 3
Enes Kanter Freedom, a former NBA player, reported being denied entry to Game 3 of the WNBA Finals on Wednesday night, where the Atlanta Dream faced the Golden State Valkyries. Freedom stated that he declined an offer to sit in a private suite due to concerns for his safety.
State Farm Arena issued a statement indicating that Freedom had contacted various authorities regarding his safety during the event. The arena's management, in consultation with the WNBA and Dream officials, suggested the suite arrangement to ensure his security, which included additional safety measures and the presence of a state police officer.
In a social media video, Freedom expressed frustration over being barred from his purchased seats, claiming this was the second time he was ejected from a WNBA game for supporting women. Previously, he was removed from a game in August after a confrontation with a player, leading to an indefinite ban from Wintrust Arena, although the WNBA did not impose a league-wide ban.
