Eric Simons Joins England's Test Coaching Team

England has announced the addition of Eric Simons to Stephen Fleming's coaching staff as the Test bowling coach. This decision comes as Fleming prepares for his first series in charge against South Africa in December.

Simons, a former head coach of South Africa, has a history of collaboration with Fleming, having worked together in the Indian Premier League. His official appointment will be confirmed on Monday during the announcement of central contracts.

The restructuring of the coaching staff reflects England's approach of dividing head-coaching duties across formats, with Fleming overseeing the Test team and Brendon McCullum managing the white-ball teams. Simons, who has also served as India's bowling coach, brings extensive experience to his new role.
