Erling Haaland Achieves Premier League Milestone with 100 Non-Penalty Goals
Erling Haaland has made history in the Premier League by scoring his 100th non-penalty goal in only 139 appearances, a record that surpasses Cristiano Ronaldo's achievements. This milestone was reached during Manchester City's 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town, where Haaland netted two goals.
The match saw Phil Foden open the scoring in the 19th minute, followed by Daizen Maeda's equalizer. Haaland then restored City's lead with a header in the 34th minute and added his second in the 69th minute after receiving a pass from Iliman Ndiaye. Despite Zian Flemming scoring a penalty in the 90th minute, City secured their seventh consecutive league win.
Ronaldo, who scored 103 Premier League goals in 236 appearances for Manchester United, achieved 79 non-penalty goals, which is 21 fewer than Haaland's current tally. Haaland's remarkable performance this season includes 12 goals in 10 matches across all competitions, maintaining an impressive scoring rate.
