Essendon Rookies Jacob Farrow and Dylan Sharp Extend Contracts
Jacob Farrow and Dylan Sharp have secured contract extensions with Essendon, ensuring their stay at the club until at least the end of 2030.
Both players were drafted in the previous year, with Farrow selected at No.10 and Sharp at No.13. Farrow has made a significant impact, playing every game since his debut in round three, where he averaged 18 touches and six marks per match. His performance against Melbourne, which included 22 disposals and 12 marks, earned him a Rising Star nomination.
Sharp has also excelled, ranking third in his draft class for clearances per game and fifth for contested possessions. He received a Rising Star nomination during a match against the GWS Giants, where he recorded 23 disposals, seven clearances, and a goal. Their re-signing follows star forward Nate Caddy's extension until 2031, and they are among the first from the 2025 draft class to secure contract extensions.
Essendon is set to face Sydney this Sunday at Marvel Stadium.
