Esteban Ocon to Race with Older Engine at Monza

Esteban Ocon has confirmed that he will not be using the upgraded ADUO2 version of Ferrari's Formula 1 engine during the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. The only upgraded engine available from Haas will be assigned to his teammate, Oliver Bearman.

Haas is set to debut a new aerodynamic package at Monza, as announced by team principal Ayao Komatsu. Both cars will be equipped with these aerodynamic enhancements, but Ocon will have to compete with an older engine model. He expressed disappointment over this situation, acknowledging that it would impact his performance.

Despite the engine limitations, Ocon is looking forward to testing the new VF-26 on the track. He noted that while the simulator showed promising results, translating that performance to the actual race remains uncertain. Ocon also mentioned that Haas has struggled in recent races, failing to score points since the Monaco Grand Prix, and he hopes the new upgrades will help improve their standings.
