Eugenio Chacarra Wins DP World India Championship, Dedicates Victory to Grandfather

Eugenio Chacarra achieved victory at the DP World India Championship, overcoming neck pain, a broken toe, and the recent loss of his grandfather. His grandfather, who significantly influenced his golf career, passed away just ten days prior to the tournament.

Chacarra expressed his emotions by dedicating the win to his grandfather, acknowledging the profound impact he had on his life. He also shared his fondness for India, where he previously won his first DP World Tour title at the 2025 Hero Indian Open.

With this latest triumph, Chacarra has positioned himself as a contender for the 2026 Race to Dubai championship, although he noted the competition remains fierce with top players like Rory McIlroy and Patrick Reed close behind.
