Eva Olid Named New Women's Manager of Manchester United

Manchester United has officially appointed Eva Olid as the new women's manager on a two-year contract, which includes an option for an additional year. Olid, who previously managed Hearts, replaces Marc Skinner, who departed the role by mutual consent just a month before the Women's Super League season begins.

During her five years at Hearts, Olid led the team to their first Scottish Women's Premier League title and their first domestic final, although they were defeated by Rangers in the 2024 Scottish Cup. Olid's coaching style emphasized an attacking approach, and she was instrumental in developing young talent, which aligns with Manchester United's goals for their women's team.

Olid's appointment comes as the club seeks to enhance its performance and player development ahead of the upcoming season, starting with a match against London City Lionesses on September 4. Her contract is set to keep her at Manchester United until 2028, reflecting the club's commitment to her vision for the team.
