
Everton and Manchester United Draw 2-2 in Preseason Friendly
Everton faced Manchester United in their fifth and final preseason friendly of the Premier League Summer Series on August 3 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, resulting in a 2-2 draw.
The match saw United take an early lead with a penalty from Bruno Fernandes in the 18th minute, following a foul by James Tarkowski. Everton equalized in the 40th minute when Ndiaye scored from Gana's cross. Mason Mount then put United ahead again in the 69th minute, but Everton responded with a second equalizer in the 75th minute, benefiting from an own goal by United.
Despite the draw, Manchester United secured the Premier League Summer Series trophy with two wins and a draw, while Everton finished at the bottom of the four-team table with just one draw.
