Malibu's Surfrider Beach, known for its iconic waves, continues to attract surfers despite changes over the years. Dan Harmon visited the beach during a notable south swell to explore the current surfing scene.

The beach, once a serene surfing haven, is now crowded, with surf etiquette often disregarded. Harmon noted the chaotic lineup, with 150 to 200 surfers sharing waves, a phenomenon he found unique to Malibu.

During his two-hour session, Harmon managed to ride four waves and was pleasantly surprised by their quality, describing them as better than he anticipated.
