Ezri Konsa Joins Arsenal for £51 Million from Aston Villa

Arsenal has secured the signing of defender Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa for £51 million. The England international has agreed to a four-year contract, with an option for an additional year, after successfully completing his medical examination.

Konsa's transfer comes as Arsenal seeks to bolster their defense, particularly with William Saliba and Jurrien Timber currently sidelined due to injuries. The 28-year-old could make his debut against Aston Villa on August 31.

This move marks Arsenal's fifth significant signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Piero Hincapie, Illan Meslier, Christos Tzolis, and Bruno Guimaraes. The deal was reached after negotiations between the two clubs, who initially had differing valuations.
