F1 Drivers Impressed by Formula E's Upcoming Gen4 Car at Monaco E-Prix
During the Monaco E-Prix in May, several Formula 1 drivers, including reigning champion Lando Norris, were notably impressed by the upcoming Gen4 car from Formula E.
Formula E's chief, Jeff Dodds, expressed pride in the positive feedback from the F1 drivers, calling it a highlight of the 2025-26 season. The Monaco event featured races won by Nyck de Vries and Oliver Rowland, both of whom are in contention for the Formula E title at the upcoming London finale.
The Gen4 car is set to be the fastest in the series, capable of reaching speeds of 208 mph and producing 804 bhp, which is about 70% more powerful than the current model. It will also be the only single-seater with permanent all-wheel drive. Dodds noted the excitement among drivers regarding the car's capabilities, emphasizing the competitive nature of the championship as multiple drivers vie for the title.
