F1 Reveals 2027 Calendar Featuring Monaco's First Sprint Race
Formula 1 has announced its 2027 season calendar, which will feature 24 races and an increase in sprint weekends from six to ten. Monaco is set to host a sprint race for the first time on June 6, despite its challenging street circuit.
The season will commence on March 14 in Bahrain and conclude in Abu Dhabi, with notable events including the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne and the return of Portugal at the Algarve circuit on June 20. The calendar also includes a series of triple-header races in the Americas and a standalone Las Vegas Grand Prix on November 20.
F1 management has expanded the sprint format for commercial reasons, citing increased viewership and fan engagement since its introduction in 2021. The 2027 season aims to enhance competitive action and excitement for fans, with pre-season testing scheduled in Bahrain from February 24 to 27.
