Falcons Consider Multiple Quarterbacks for Upcoming Game Against Panthers

Atlanta Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski announced that a quarterback will be chosen for the team's home game against the Carolina Panthers this Sunday. The candidates include Cooper Rush, Tua Tagovailoa, Michael Penix Jr., and undrafted rookie Jack Strand.

Stefanski's comments followed a report suggesting that Penix might not be available until Week 4 due to recovery from surgery for a partially torn ACL. Tagovailoa is also dealing with an oblique injury that could affect his readiness. Rush, who started in the previous game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, had a challenging performance with two interceptions and a low adjusted QBR.

Despite the uncertainties surrounding the quarterbacks, Stefanski emphasized that no player is being ruled out for the game against the Panthers. The Falcons are currently listed as 2.5-point underdogs for the matchup.
