Falcons Face Injury Concern for Michael Penix Jr. After Overtime Loss
The Atlanta Falcons experienced a significant concern following their 30-23 overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night, as quarterback Michael Penix Jr. sustained a rib injury.
The injury occurred late in regulation when Penix was sacked by Ravens defensive lineman Tavius Robinson, resulting in a 10-yard loss and a fumble. Although Penix attempted to return, he was unable to continue playing. He finished the game with 240 passing yards and one touchdown.
With Penix sidelined, Tua Tagovailoa briefly took over but struggled, throwing an interception that ended the game. The Falcons are now awaiting medical evaluations to determine Penix's status for their upcoming game against the Chicago Bears.
